her nth attempt

I love snow… but being cold sucks.

January9

29 degrees out and my fingers are numb and swollen again! As if I needed one more reason to be avoid the cold.

Attacks of Raynaud’s phenomenon are caused by an intensification of the body’s natural response to cold… [T]he thermoregulatory vessels overreact to cold exposure with sudden and intense spasmodic contractions of these small blood vessels that supply blood to the skin of the fingers, toes, ears, face, and other body areas.

Wholly incompatible with winter or just hypochondriac?

Here goes again

January8

Why oh why do I persist in keeping a blog when I clearly lack the necessary proclivities? I’ll tell you why (who is this you I keep talking to anyway?).

1. I need the practice. Having catapulted off the introverted side of the scale, I find myself perpetually unprepared to engage in the small talk and witty banter that comes naturally to 98% of people everywhere.

2. To keep a record of my experiences. The ones I don’t mind sharing with the thousands that end up on my doorstep everyday looking for updates to their XBox or versions of Quake, that is. Hmm, no wonder nothing ever gets posted.

3.

Huh. I can’t actually think of a #3. Enough with the intro. Let’s get on with the show.
